WHAT IS REP COUNCIL?
Rep Council meets once monthly to discuss current issues and concerns at both sites and directly informs discussion about next steps conducted by the executive board. Reps vote to move things forward to general membership. Site rep terms are two years.
WHAT DOES REP COUNCIL DO?
1. Conduct constant and ongoing liaison between the Representative Council and the Active members of the faculty/site unit;
2. Serve as the official channel through with written communications and publications can be easily and quickly transmitted between the Association and the members;
3. Represent the views and input of the Active membership in votes taken in the Representative Council, conducting frequent and regular polls of such membership for this purpose; and
4. Perform such additional duties as prescribed by the Executive Board.

how do i become a rep?
Elections for Rep Council are held yearly, typically in May. Emails informing members of vacancies for the upcoming school year will go out in the spring. If you are interested in becoming a rep, follow the directions in the email.

Each DTA member is assigned a site rep who is their point-person to discuss any contractually related issues or questions. If you are a DTA member and have a question or concern, please contact your site rep.
